Women of all ages with an interest in farming whether large or small are welcome to attend, there is no requirement to own a farm, or be actively farming. A different farming enterprise is visited each month, and women with an interest in all things rural attend to learn more from our local farmers, while contributing a wide variety of knowledge and expertise from their own life experiences.
Originating from a small group of farming women in West Gippsland, who sought to promote their role as farmers, Women on Farms has gone from strength to strength offering friendship, mutual support and women’s perspectives on agriculture to other women.
A non profit organisation, Women on Farms is committed to supporting farming women through networking, meetings, farm based activities and the annual Gathering.
